Abstract

This research delves into the intricate relationship between dielectric materials and plasma behavior within atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) reactors. Through comprehensive numerical simulations, we investigated the impact of varying dielectric constants on crucial plasma parameters, including spatial distribution and electric field intensity. Our findings underscore the critical role of dielectric properties in optimizing DBD reactor performance.

By systematically analyzing the correlation between dielectric characteristics and plasma behavior, this study provides valuable insights for engineers and scientists seeking to enhance DBD reactor efficiency and efficacy. The results have significant implications for a wide range of applications, such as plasma processing, ozone generation, and water treatment.

Our research lays the groundwork for future studies aimed at optimizing dielectric materials and reactor configurations to achieve specific process goals. By understanding the fundamental principles governing the interaction between dielectrics and plasma, researchers can develop innovative DBD technologies with improved performance and broader applicability.
